About us
The Trigeminal Neuralgia Institute (the "TN Institute") is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, number 1204273.
Founders
The TN Institute was founded in 2022 by three experienced and well known experts in the field of facial pain, Dr. Ann Haynes, Dr. Simon Tate and Professor Zakrzewska. They were also the first Trustees.

Constitution
The TN Institute adopted the Constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
The Constitution sets out the key objects of the Institute:
● Promoting research into the causes, diagnosis and management of trigeminal neuralgia;
● Providing a diagnostic service for trigeminal neuralgia and signposting patients to centres of excellence where they can receive treatment;
● Advancing education in trigeminal neuralgia amongst healthcare professionals to enable them to provide effective care to their patients.
